Gold Award Winner
Milton Keynes Pressings Ltd (MKP) have been awarded the 2019 Gold Award for the Caterpillar Supplier Quality Excellence Process (SQEP). The award system, from one of MKP’s key customers, was created as a certification program to recognize suppliers who value and measure their quality standard as a core element in their business.
MKP met a number of demanding performance standards, including on-time deliveries and product quality, to gain the Gold award level. The award demonstrates MKP’s commitment to implementing a culture of ‘zero defects’, and ensuring the quality standards required to achieve this are maintained through all facets of the business.
Terry Heames (CAT – Supplier Development Engineer) from Perkins Peterborough was on-site at MKP to present the award to the MKP Team
MKP supply pressings, welded fabrications and manual assemblies, in a variety of steel gauges and grades, into the Perkins Peterborough Plant, which has the capacity to produce up to 500,000 engines a year in a 125,000 square meter factory.
Manufactured components from MKP support the 400 Series range of engines, which boast a compact, high-performance, low operating cost package – the ideal engine for a wide range of off-highway applications.
