VIVARO Is Van-Tastic News For Engineers
Increased production of Vauxhall’s Vivaro vans has led to engineering firm Milton Keynes Pressings (MKP) providing job security for its workforce.
MKP played a major part in Vauxhall’s launch of the new van last year. It supplies 12 component parts including various cross members and bulkhead panels to Vauxhall at its plant in Luton.
The award-winning manufacturer, which produces metal pressings and welded assemblies into many different industries, is a family owned business with a workforce of over 200. It operates from two sites in Milton Keynes with a floorspace of 100,000sq ft. About 60 per cent of MKP clients are first-tier automotive manufacturers including Aston Martin, Bentley and Lotus.
MKP’s managing director, Mike Read, said “The company’s progress has been built on supplying excellent customer service and solving engineering and manufacturing solutions whilst remaining competitive in a global market place. We are proud to have supplied Vauxhall since 1989 and very pleased the new Vivaro’s planned 10-year production life provides us the opportunity to provide job security for our workforce.”
MKP features in the April/ May issue of MK Chamber of Commerce in business magazine. Click the link below to read the full article.
