Strengthening Partnerships and Celebrating Excellence in Supplier Performance

Milton Keynes Pressings Ltd was delighted to welcome the Perkins Engines Company Ltd team to our facility last week for our annual Caterpillar Supplier Performance Management (SPM) review.

The SPM programme is a key element of Caterpillar’s global supply chain strategy, designed to measure, develop, and recognise supplier performance across critical areas such as quality, delivery, capability, cost management, and continuous improvement.

This yearly review provides both organisations with a valuable opportunity to reflect openly on the past 12 months, highlighting strengths, identifying areas for joint development, and ensure alignment on forward-looking objectives as we move toward 2026.

During the visit, MKP was honoured to receive our Supplier Evaluation Report (SER) certification for the 2024-2025 performance period. The SER certification is awarded to suppliers who consistently demonstrate strong performance across Caterpillar’s stringent evaluation criteria, including product quality, delivery precision, responsiveness, process control, and commitment to continous improvement.

Receiving this certification represents an important validation of MKP’s operational standards and our dedication to meeting Caterpillar’s high expectations. The award was formally presented by Dave Thomas (SDE), marking a proud achievement for the business.
